Mobile Computer Repair Technician (Omaha, NE)
Special Touch Computer Repair is seeking an experienced, customer-focused technician to provide on-site computer and IT support for residential and small business clients throughout the Omaha metro area.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technology problems, working independently, and building long-term customer relationships. Most days consist of one morning and one afternoon service appointment.
Service Area: Omaha, Papillion, La Vista, Bellevue, Ralston, Council Bluffs, Bennington, Valley, Springfield, and surrounding communities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide on-site computer and IT support for residential and business customers
- Troubleshoot Windows and macOS systems
- Install and configure computers, printers, and peripherals
- Assist with Microsoft 365, email, passwords, and software issues
- Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, internet, and network connectivity problems
- Set up and maintain home and small business networks
- Document work performed and communicate updates to the office
- Determine when equipment should be returned to the shop for advanced repair
- Build positive, long-term customer relationships
This Role Is a Good Fit If You:
- Have previous computer repair or IT field service experience
- Are comfortable supporting both Windows and macOS systems
- Enjoy helping customers and explaining technology clearly
- Can work independently while staying organized and accountable
- Take pride in professionalism, reliability, and excellent customer service
- Have experience with networking, Microsoft 365, printers, and general hardware troubleshooting
This is not a help desk position. We are looking for someone with real-world, hands-on experience who enjoys working directly with customers in their homes and businesses.
Compensation & Benefits
Part-Time | $20–$25/hour DOE | 20–30 hours/week
Mileage reimbursement, bonus opportunities, paid training, company tools, and company shirts are provided.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to travel throughout the Omaha metro area
- Ability to lift and transport computer equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and follow company procedures
